Apple-Pecan Pie


Unbaked 9 inch pie shell
1/4 cup chopped pecans
6 cups sliced peeled apples
1 cups sugar
2 teaspoons flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Spicy Pecan Topping


1. Sprinkle chopped pecans in bottom of pie shell.

2. Combine apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg..

3. Turn into pie shell and spread topping over apple mixture.

4. Bake in hot oven (425 F) 40 to 45 minutes, or until apples are tender and pie top is a rich brown.

Spicy Pecan Topping: Mix 1/4 cup butter or margarine, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/3 cup flour and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon until completely blended. Stir in 1/4 cup chopped pecans.
